The New Pedagogies for Deep Learning or NPDL is a pedagogical innovation to strengthen the instructional skills of lecturers in an effort to produce students who are sustainable and holistic to face future challenges. It integrates elements of the use of digital technology to strengthen students' knowledge and skills in line with the development of education in the 21st century. This study aims to identify the level of knowledge, understanding and readiness for the implementation of NPDL in addition to exploring the extent to which the integration of digital technology can strengthen the NPDL practices of trainee teachers at IPGK PM. This study uses a mixed-method design that combines quantitative and qualitative approaches to obtain a more comprehensive and in-depth picture of the issue being studied. The quantitative component involves collecting data through a Likert-scale questionnaire, while the qualitative component uses semi-structured interviews to examine the experiences and perceptions of the study participants. The study findings show that the implementation of NPDL among IPGK PM trainee teachers is at a high level in all three aspects, namely knowledge with values (Mean = 4.32; SP= 0.40), readiness with values (Mean = 4.13; SP=0.40) and understanding of trainee teachers with values (Mean = 4.03; SP=0.42). The findings of the interview analysis found that the use and integration of digital technology in the implementation of NPDL has helped strengthen the knowledge, understanding and readiness of trainee teachers in the implementation process at IPG. This finding strengthens the role of the Teacher Education Institute (IPG) as a leader in national educational excellence in producing competent and world-class 21st century educators.
